Our Philosophy

Small Beginnings Christian Preschool is an extension of the mission of the Maumee United Methodist Church. The Preschool is a place where children and families are touched with the love and grace of God and their faith is nurtured.

We believe we must nurture the whole child; spiritually, emotionally, physically, socially and academically. We believe quality learning experiences foster the natural learning abilities of young children.

Always time for play! Either indoors or out!

We love to teach all the kids about many different things

A child's imagination is one of the best things about them! When its time to create something new its fun to see how each kids project is something different

Our program offers a Christian atmosphere in which the importance of every child's individuality and positive self image are stressed.  Social growth and kindergarten readiness are perpetuated through developmentally appropriate activities related to readiness skills in basic subject areas.

To encourage the child in self-confidence, concern for others, cooperation in work and play, and a spirit of sharing. To increase the child's skills in listening, self-discipline, conversation, creative self-expression, independent work and play. To help support the family in their role as primary educators of their children by learning skills which promote the growth and development of their child.
